Man United to make final offer for Sancho next week

Manchester United will make a final £90m offer for Jadon Sancho next week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s chief transfer target has already started the season with Borussia Dortmund with the Germans holding firm on their £109m valuation thus far.

Mirror Sport report United will return to the negotiating table however with an offer worth £75m up front with £15m to follow in add-ons.

The report adds there will be no negotiating over the structure of the deal.

PSG in for Chelsea midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with Chelsea flop Tiemoue Bakayoko, Sky Sports report.

The midfielder has spent the last two seasons away from Stamford Bridge on loan at AC Milan and Monaco but a move to the French capital could now be on the cards.

Saints march in for Loftus-Cheek

Southampton are among the clubs interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea.

Aston Villa have made enquiries into the England international’s availability but The Athletic report Saints are also keen on a deal if Chelsea agree to cover a portion of his wages.

Atletico in Torreira talks – but no Partey swap with Arsenal

Atletico Madrid are close to signing Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira on a season-long loan, but the two teams are yet to reach an agreement.

The Uruguayan is not part of Mikel Arteta’s future plans at Arsenal and is wanted by Atletico coach Diego Simeone, a long-standing admirer of the former Sampdoria player.

Standard Sport understands Atletico’s new signing, Luis Suarez, has also given his blessing to the arrival of his compatriot – having also recommended Torreira to Arsenal’s former Head of Football Raul Sanhelli in 2018.

Torreira, who is also being tracked by Torino, is keen to join Atletico.

However, the deal has been complicated because Atletico are keen to seal a loan move without an obligation to buy the midfielder, while Arsenal want to make a permanent deal compulsory.

In addition, Atletico need to remove more players from their wage bill and hope to sell or loan Mexico midfielder Hector Herrera in the coming days, which could further delay the completion of this transfer.

Atletico still hope to keep midfielder Thomas Partey, a long-time target for the Gunners, and the Ghanaian is not part of the negotiations for Torreira.

United remain in Tells talks

Manchester United remain in talks with Porto over the signing of Alex Telles – although they do have another option to pursue at left-back if the deal collapses.

Fabrizio Romano reports Telles is still convinced a deal can be agreed for around €25m.

Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez is set to end his long-running association with the club this summer, according to AS.

The 30-year-old came through the academy system at the club after joining in 2001 and has gone on to make 200 appearances for Los Blancos.

But with Juventus, Napoli and Roma all tracking the Spain international, the paper suggests the versatile defender could seek regular football elsewhere.

Bakayoko in Milan talks

Chelsea’s wantaway midfelder Tiemoue Bakayoko could still join AC Milan on loan, according to reports in Italy.

The French midfielder is not in Frank Lampard’s plans and spent last season on loan at AS Monaco.

Both player and club have expressed their desire to reunite but Chelsea’s insistence on a £30m buy option is proving a stumbling block, according to Calciomercato.

However, the Serie A side are keen to thrash out a deal despite already signing Sandro Tonali from Brescia.

Suarez: Barca should have granted Messi exit

Luis Suarez has hinted that Lionel Messi should have been allowed to leave Barcelona in the summer.

Messi was present at a press conference at Camp Nou on Thursday as Suarez said goodbye to the Catalan club and its fans after agreeing a move to Atletico Madrid.

Suarez said he believed he had more to offer, but claimed he understood Barca’s decision to let him leave after six seasons and 198 goals in 283 appearances for the Blaugrana.

However, he also left an indirect message for the board as he said: “When the club tells you they aren’t counting on you, you have to accept it, just like when a player tells you he wants to leave.”

West Ham want quick answer to Fofana bid

West Ham have told Saint-Etienne they want a quick response to their £36m bid for Wesley Fofana, reports suggest.

Standard Sport understands the Hammers have tabled an offer worth £25m plus another £11m in add-ons.

But according to Sky Sports, the east London side are adamant they will not get involved in protracted negotiations and will wait until tomorrow for an answer as to whether it has been successful.

Toffees target Tomori

Everton are keen to sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori but may face disappointment in their pursuit of the centre-back.

The 22-year-old has hardly featured for the Blues in 2020 after suffering from a dip in form but remains part of Frank Lampard’s plans.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring in Tomori to shore up his backline but with Antonio Rudiger more likely to leave, with PSG and Barcelona interested, the England international is likely to remain at Stamford Bridge.

PL trio in fight for Motherwell starlet

Liverpool, Leeds and Brighton are all chasing the signature of Motherwell teenager Sam Campbell, according to reports.

The 16-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from all across the Premier League but the three named clubs have all had undisclosed bids accepted by the Scottish Premiership outfit.

Campbell has been offered a three-year deal to remain at the club but is mulling over offers from the trio, with Crystal Palace also thought to be keen on the teenage defender.

Man Utd still in for Sancho

Manchester United remain locked in talks to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to The Daily Star.

However, the report adds that United are making “little progress” in their attempts to lure the England international to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils consider 20-year-old to be their main target as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad for the season, following their opening 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Dortmund’s £108m asking price has proven to be a stumbling block and the Bundesliga giants insist Sancho will remain at the club.

PSG pull out of Dele loan talks

Paris Saint-Germain are set to withdraw their bid to sign Dele Alli on loan from Tottenham, according to The Telegraph.

The 24-year-old has been tipped to leave the north London side after the return of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, with Alli left out of Jose Mourinho’s last two matchday squads.

PSG reportedly entered negotiations about a one-year loan agreement but it is reported Spurs’ financial demands are

We have already brought you the news that the club are in discussions over Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar and according to The Athletic, talks have taken place with Napoli about the availability of striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The 26-year-old looks set to leave the San Paolo after turning down a new contract but so far, proposed moves to Juventus and Roma have fallen through.

It is believed Spurs would favour a loan move for the Poland international, while Napoli favour a sale due to his contract expiring next summer.

Atletico confident over Torreira loan

So, who could make room for Jorginho if he does arrive? Well, it could be Lucas Torreira as Atletico Madrid are growing increasingly confident of signing the midfielder on loan.

The Uruguayan midfielder has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta and the LaLiga outfit have been in discussions over a loan deal which includes an option to buy for £22 million.

Bologna confirm Hickey signing with hilarious video

Bologna have confirmed the capture of highly-rated Hearts defender Aaron Hickey with a bizarre and equally hilarious transfer announcement video.

Leeds sign Llorente

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente.

The 27-year-old has penned a four-year deal and arrives for an undisclosed fee, but the deal is believed to be worth £18 million.

The Spain international will wear the No.14 shirt and becomes Leeds’ seventh summer signing, following compatriot Rodrigo to Elland Road.

Arsenal keen on shock Jorginho swoop

A report from Sky Sports claims that Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has emerged as a shock target for Arsenal.

Photo: PA

Mikel Arteta has been searching for a new midfielder for some time, with Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar both linked with a move to north London.

But with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reshaping his squad, it is conceivable that the Blues will offload some players and Jorginho could be one of those to depart, particularly if Declan Rice joins from West Ham.

However, the Italy international has started both of Chelsea’s league matches this season and it seems unlikely he would be allowed to leave for a cut-price fee.

Cech played key role in Mendy transfer

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has revealed they made Edouard Mendy their No1 goalkeeper target on the recommendation of Petr Cech, writes Giuseppe Muro.

Mendy today completed his £22million move to Chelsea from Rennes and signed a five-year contract.

Frank Lampard has targeted a new keeper after losing faith in Kepa Arrizabalaga, who will be under pressure to perform following the arrival of Mendy.

Mendy, a 28-year-old Senegal international, excelled after joining Rennes from Reims last summer and helped them qualify for the Champions League.

His signing takes Chelsea’s summer spending to close to £250m and comes following advice from Cech, the former Blues keeper who became their technical and performance adviser after retiring last summer and is influential in their recruitment.

Chelsea director Granovskaia said: “As soon as Petr Cech and our technical team identified Edouard as the most suitable goalkeeper to complement our existing group, there was only one player we wanted to bring in.
