The winger scored 17 goals in all competitions as the Bees agonisingly missed out on promotion to the Premier League, losing to London rivals Fulham in the play-off final at Wembley.

Benrahma has appeared three times for Thomas Frank’s side so far this season, scoring two goals in the Carabao Cup.

Crystal Palace were also interested in signing the player, who has been capped four times by his country.

Benrahma has been at Brentford since 2018, where he joined from French club Nice for around £2.7m.
