Premier League predictions: Man Utd, Arsenal, Leeds and more results predicted | Football | Sport

The Premier League returned with a bang last weekend after just a short break from the end of last season. Champions Liverpool made a winning start to their title defence with victory over Leeds, who are back in top-flight after a 16-year absence.

But it was far from easy for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they edged a 4-3 win at Anfield.

The Reds head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday while Leeds host fellow promoted side Fulham, who lost out to Arsenal on the opening day.

The Gunners have another London derby on their hands this weekend as West Ham travel to the Emirates.

Manchester City and Manchester United will both begin their campaigns this weekend.

Betfair spokesperson Darren Hughes said: “Gameweek 2 of the Premier League season this weekend sees the return of both Manchester clubs to the fray, following their extended summer breaks.

“Manchester United are at home to Crystal Palace, in a game they have a 75% chance of winning according to Betfair Exchange, and their neighbours Manchester City travel to the Molinuex to face Wolves, where they have a 63% chance of victory.

“The most interesting game, however, is between champions Liverpool and Frank Lampard’s Chelsea team, who, with the signings of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, will be hoping to challenge the Reds for the title more seriously this season.

“Betfair Exchange suggests Liverpool have a 44% chance of coming away from west London with 3 points, in what is sure to be an early season cracker.”
