were reportedly told by Ousmane Dembele that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer. The Old Trafford hierarchy have been forced to explore potential alternatives to Jadon Sancho with negotiations with Borussia Dortmund at an impasse.
The club still remain optimistic that they can strike a deal for Sancho, while Dortmund are said to be bemused at United’s approach to the transfer.

It appears United have already launched an enquiry for the World Cup winner, who has struggled to take off at Barcelona following his £135million move from Borussia Dortmund.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s efforts were rebuffed as Dembele told United chiefs he is going nowhere, a message that was also received by Liverpool.
“So at this moment I think it’s really difficult to change his mind in 10 days or so.
“Obviously Manchester United has a list of other options if Jadon Sancho will not arrive.
“But Dembele is complicated also because United know that he wants to stay. Manchester United can forget about Dembele this summer.”
Dortmund remain adamant that Sancho is going nowhere now that their Bundesliga campaign is underway.
