Man City offer updates on Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero ahead of Arsenal clash | Football | Sport
The Argentinian has been out since the second game of Project Restart, injuring his knee in the 5-0 win over Burnley in June.
That’s kept him out of their opening games this term, but after a hastily arranged game during the international break, he is ready to make his competitive return.
“Sergio is training well and we’re happy,” Guardiola added. “He’s been training for three or four days and we are happy. I’m happy to see him on the pitch after so long.”
Elsewhere, Gabriel Jesus is also out for the visit of Mikel Arteta’s men, he did lead the line in Aguero’s absence in the season opener against Wolves, but has been out since.
On Jesus, Guardiola offered the following update: “There are some muscle injuries you can take a risk for and others you cannot. He has an injury in the front part of his leg. If there is another incident we would lose him for a long time. I don’t know [how long he will be out for].
