Liverpool news and transfers – Danijel Subasic linked, Nuno Mendes move, Shaqiri exit

Swansea ‘lead’ Wilson chase

Swansea City are leading the race to sign Harry Wilson on loan report Goal.com.

The Championship side are one of a host of second tier clubs keen on the Wales international, who saw a permanent move to Burnley fall through prior transfer deadline day earlier this month.

However, he can still sign for Football League clubs on loan with Liverpool now willing to soften their stance that they would not consider a temporary exit.

Following Rhian Brewster’s successful loan in South Wales last year, Swansea appear to be in pole position while Derby County are also strong contenders following Wilson’s strong loan with the club in 2018/19.

Three other clubs have expressed interest to the player and his representatives, with Football Insider suggesting Nottingham Forest have also made an offer with Cardiff City also showing interest.

Elsewhere, Goal claim Nat Phillips is wanted by a host of Championship clubs, including Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough, and Ben Woodburn could move to League One, with both Charlton and Hull City keen.

Canada forward Liam Millar and midfielder Herbie Kane may also earn temporary moves.
