Loaned out Blues striker tipped to score ‘bundles’

Everton’s Moise Kean after scoring from the spot against Salford

From Keane to Kean and Everton striker Moise Kean has been tipped to score “bundles” of goals after going on loan to Paris St-Germain.

After a disappointing first season in the Premier League, the Italian frontman decamped to the petrodollar-fuelled French outfit just before the international transfer window closed.

Kevin Phillips is someone who knows what it takes to score goals in the Premier League having netted 30 for Sunderland in the 1999/2000 season and he reckons after departing Goodison Park, a change of scene could help the former Juventus man.

Asked if Kean’s move to Everton had come too soon in his career, Phillips told Football Insider:

“Possibly, yes.

“He was one of those four with Joelinton, Haller and Wesley at Villa, you thought these big four, powerful strikers would come into and settle into the Premier League with no problem whatsoever.

“It’s amazing how all four of them have struggled.

“I just think it’s the tempo of the game and the better defenders that they’re coming up against.

“You watch him, he’ll probably go away now and score loads of goals.

“And people will be saying ‘why did we get rid of him?’ but sometimes players can’t settle.

“We’ve seen it loads of times with players that have left. Look at Romelu Lukaku who went to Inter and can’t stop scoring.

“Some leagues and some clubs don’t suit players and vice versa.

“Watch him at PSG, he’ll score bundles.”
