Everton news and transfers – James Rodriguez claim, Seamus Coleman injury, Liverpool reaction

James has ‘upset’ Real Madrid with his form

James Rodriguez’s brilliant start to life with Everton has reportedly caused influential people at his former club Real Madrid to feel ‘upset’.

The 29-year-old, who joined as a free agent, has made an instant impression in the Premier League, scoring three goals in five matches.

Officials within the Spanish side are ‘showing their disappointment’ towards those who allowed him to leave, according to Saturday’s edition of AS, via the Daily Mirror.

Rodriguez was allowed to depart, along with Gareth Bale, Sergio Reguilon and Dani Ceballos, with Real Madrid not making any signings to replace them.

The Real Madrid hierarchy supposedly view the players as having been ‘discarded’ by Zinedine Zidane when they should have been ‘very useful’ members of the squad.
